Abia State did not owe any commercial bank N22bn when I was governor- ikpeazu

Former Governor of Abia State, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, has said that his administration had no outstanding debts with commercial banks.

He said that this while reacting to his successor, Governor Alex Otti’s allegation that that he mismanaged the finance of the state.

Ikpeazu called on Otti government to provide proof for its claim of a N22 billion outstanding loan burden.

He asked the Otti government to stop giving excuses rather it shoud address governance issues, and provide funding for security services to safeguard residents’ lives and property.
