Breaking: Seun Kuti Released On Bail

Afrobeat singer  Seun Kuti   has regained freedom.

His counsel, Adeyinka Olumide-Fusika disclosed this to our correspondent, adding that the singer had since headed home.

Earlier today, the Magistrate Court sitting in Yaba could not hear the case because the Chief Magistrate was not around.

Seun was taken back to the police cell but with a hint by his lawyer that he might be released today.

Seun is being charged for allegedly assaulting a police officer on Third Mainland Bridge a few weeks ago.

He had been detained at State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) after a magistrate’s court in Lagos ordered his remand.
