Cash crunch may cause violence- NLC warns FG

The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has voiced grave concern about the growing financial crisis that is afflicting Nigeria and has warned that, if left unchecked, the situation could incite violence.

According to a statement released by NLC President Joe Ajaero, the current situation is problematic as the country gets closer to the holiday season.

The workers union stated that the country’s economic situation has a significant impact on its population and that immediate action is needed to resolve it to spare the already impoverished Nigerian people greater pain.

NLC stated that Nigerians are spending more time at banks to obtain cash, in addition to their current struggles.
