Breaking: FG Files Charges Against Emefiele For Illegal Possession Of Firearm

The federal government has charged Godwin Emefiele, the suspended governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, with illegal possession of firearms and ammunition.

The FG accused Emefiele of illegal possession of a single-barrel shotgun, violating Section 27 (1b) of the Firearms Act.

He was also accused of violating Section 8 of the Firearms Act and Section 27 (1)(b)(il) of the same Act by possessing 123 rounds of live ammunition without a licence.
