Food Security: FG Partners Firm For Production Of 2,000 Tractors

As part of measures to ensure food security in Nigeria, the Federal Government has partnered with John Deere Limited for yearly production of 2,000 tractors for five years.

The Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Abubakar Kyari disclosed this during the signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Asia company in Abuja.

Kyari noted that the partnership is to ensure that Nigerian farmers have access to affordable farm inputs.

Earlier, the Vice-President of John Deere Limited, Jason Braintley, said the partnership is critical for raising farm incomes and food security.
