INEC Seeks Full Media Coverage of Imo Governorship Election

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has called for full media coverage of the November eleven governorship election in Imo State.

National Commissioner and Member Information and Voter Education Committee, Mohammed Haruna, made the call at an engagement with media executives in Owerri, ahead the poll.

In reporting activities of the Commission, pre-election, election, and post-election activities, Haruna pleaded with the media to be factual, objective, and professional in their reportage.

The National Commissioner also said that the Commission had implemented eight of the thirteen schedule of activities published for the conduct of governorship elections in Kogi, Bayelsa and Imo, while assuring voters no glitches with the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System during the governorship poll
