One out of every seven people in Nigeria has kidney failure-Bamgboye

Renowned Nephrologist, Dr. Ebun Ladipo Bamgboye has raised the alarm over cases of kidney failure among Nigerians.

He said one out of every seven Nigerians had kidney failure.

The former president of the Nigerian Association of Nephrologists has therefore advocated for a dead donor plan to help people with chronic kidney disease in Nigeria.

He stated that most people need dialysis and that starting a deceased donor program is essential for saving lives.

The clinical director of St. Nicholas Hospital stated this during a lecture at UNIMED.
