Tinubu Declares State Of Emergency On Food Security

President Bola Tinubu has declared a state of emergency in Nigeria on food security, directing the National Security Council to oversee the affordability and availability of necessities like food and water.

Dele Alake, the president’s spokesperson, revealed this Thursday when briefing a State House reporter.

This decision aligns with the Tinubu administration’s focus on supporting the most disadvantaged and addressing rising food costs, which impact people’s finances.
