TWO DEAD IN IMO AS GUNMEN ENGAGE POLICE IN SHOOTOUT
Gunmen have launched yet another attack in Ahiara community of Ahiazu Mbaise local government area of Imo state.
The deadly attack left two persons dead at the spot.
From the video recorded by one of the locals currently circulating the social media a police officer and a civilian were seen lying lifeless at the scene.
A local in the community told our correspondent that, earlier on Monday the gunmen attack the police patrol team while they were buying fuel at a filling station in the local government killing one policeman and one other police officer in attempt to enforced their usual Monday-sit-at-home.
When contacted the police public relations officer Henry Okoye said they are currently at the said local government with commissioner of police CP Danjuma Aboki over the matter.
He said the command is yet to get the full details of the incident but will made it public once they conclude their information gathering.
