Uzodimma Inaugurates ISIEC Officials Ahead of LG Election

The Governor of Imo state Senator Hope Uzodimma has finally inaugurated the leadership and members of the Imo State Electoral Commission.

The Inauguration exercise saw Chief Charles Ejiogu sworn in as the Chairman, Dr Henry Adimelechi, Chief Dominic Uzowuru, Barr. Magnus Agu and Three others as members.

The Governor in his address charged them to immediately set in plans or motions towards a successful local government election.

According to the governor the election should have been conducted long ago, if not for the issues of insecurity that bedeviled the state.

However the Governor assured that the election will be conducted before November governorship election.

The ISIEC chairman on behalf of other members thanked the Governor for finding them worthy enough for the assignment.

He promised they would hit the ground running with immediate effect and to justify the confidence the government and the people of the state has reposed in them.
