Agoro Discusses Minimum Wage With NBS
Lagos State Head of Service, Mr. Bode Agoro today received the delegation from the National Bureau of Statistics lead by the Director, National Bureau of Statistics, Lagos, Mrs. Augusta Alhassan at his office, The Secretariat, Alausa-Ikeja.
Major discussion bothered on Implementation of the 2019 National Minimum Wage Act in Nigeria.
They also discussed issues relating to challenges and barriers faced by State Government, Local Government Areas and Private Employers in the implementation of the 2019 Minimum Wage Act.
Amongst other things discussed was the expected level of the proposed Minimum Wage by employees in the Public and Private Sectors.
Those who were at the event are; The Permanent Secretary, Public Service Office, Mrs. ‘Sunkanmi Oyegbola and Director, Industrial Relations, Ms Ann Kushimo.
Members of the visiting team include, Chief Statistician / Scrutiny, Mrs. Roseline Egbayelo Olorunwa and the representative from the Nigeria Labour Congress, Prof. Theophilus Ndubuaku.
