Technical Education: FG To Close Gender Gap

The Minister of Education, Prof. Tahir Mamman, has emphasized the need for an Improved technical education in the country, describing it as the best way to harness the much required skills for economic development.

Prof. Tahir disclosed this during a working visit to the Government Science Technical College, Garki, Abuja to monitor the ongoing National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) examination.

He said that the Ministry was already investing in the area to address the problem of quality, Gender gap and unemployment.

The minister said one of the major policies that the federal government is set to put through the educational system, whether it is at the state level, private secondary schools or public, is the introduction of skills in all schools.
