The preparations of Nigeria’s Super Eagles for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier received a big boost on Monday as defender Zaidu Sanusi set to return to action for FC Porto.
The left-footed player has been out of action since September during the match day one of the UEFA Champions League against Shakhtar Donetsk.
The manager of the Portuguese side Sergio Concecaio during the pre-match conference on Monday confirmed that Zaidu will be in the squad for the Champions League game against Royal Antwerp on Tuesday.
Zaidu missed the International friendly matches against Saudi Arabia and Mozambique.
Super Eagles will face Lesotho in the opening game of the qualifier before facing Zimbabwe in the second match.
