Awoniyi Bags Assist, Aina Features As Forest Play 1-1 Draw Vs Burnley

Super Eagles striker Taiwo Awoniyi provided an assist in Nottingham Forest’s 1-1 home draw against Burnley in Monday’s Premier League clash.

It is now back-to-back assists for Awoniyi who also set up the goal in his side’s 1-0 win at Chelsea.

While the 26-year-old played for 88 minutes his Nigerian teammate Ola Aina was 90 minutes of action.

Burnley had taken the lead in the 41st minute through Mohamed Amdouni.

But Awoniyi set up former Chelsea player Callum Hudson-Odoi to equalise for Forest on 61 minutes.

Awoniyi has scored three goals in five league appearances this season.

The draw saw Forest move up to eight position on seven points after five games in the league table.

Meanwhile, USA-born Nigerian forward Luca Koleosho was in action for Burnley.

The 19-year-old, who was in the starting line-up for Burnley, was replaced in the 76th minute.

Koleosho, an U-19 player with Italy, has played in four Premier League games for Vincent Kompany side.
