Cross River governorship election: PDP heads to Supreme Court
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Cross River has declared that it will appeal the ruling made by the Appeal Court on Wednesday, which upheld the state’s governor, Bassey Otu, as the victor of the March 18 governorship election.
In a statement provided to newsmen in Calabar on Thursday, the party’s state publicity secretary, Mr. Mike Ojisi, outlined the party’s plan to contest Otu’s election victory.
Ojisi reminded PDP supporters to maintain their composure but pointed out that the appellate court’s decision did not fully represent the party’s position on the election-related procedures.
