The New Nigeria Peoples Party, (NNPP), has welcomed the call by former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, for the merger of opposition parties to wrestle power from the ruling All Progressives Congress, (APC).
The acting National Chairman of the party, Abba Ali made the party’s position public at a press briefing in Abuja.
Recall that the former Vice- President Atiku Abubakar had called for a merger of opposition parties as a way of checkmating the inordinate drive of the ruling APC towards a one-party state
Ali said the party believes in the unity of political parties and politicians, a necessary ingredient for peace, tranquility and development.
