Reps to probe NCAT over helicopters’ sale

The House of Representatives Committee on Public Assets has declared that it will look into the purported sale of two training helicopters by the Nigeria College of Aviation Technology, Zaria.

In a press release issued on Monday and signed by the Chairman, Hon. Ademorin Kuye, the Committee stated that it was made aware of the development by media reports on Sunday, July 30, 2023, regarding the alleged sale of two Bell 206L-3 helicopters, which were public property purchased by the Nigeria College of Aviation Technology, Zaria for N1.2 billion with the purpose of training pilots.

He continued by saying that the hurry surrounding the sales and concessions of public assets near the end of the previous government warrants “suspicion since the supposed approval was gotten from that administration.”
