The Nigerian Labour Congress is prepared to combat the economic misery caused by the Federal Government’s decision to remove the fuel subsidy.

University staff organisations, including the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities, the Academic Staff Union of Universities, the Congress of University Academics, and Edo Civil Society Organisations, have expressed dissatisfaction with the removal of the subsidy and its consequences.

Chris Onyeka, the National Assistant Secretary of the NLC, announced that the Central Working Committee of the Congress will discuss concerns about the public’s suffering due to the recent increase in PMS price.
