Lagos state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has signed the 2024 N2.2 trillion appropriation bill into law.
After signing the bill into law, the governor said, the approved budget size is N2.2 trillion, comprising N1.3 trillion for capital expenditure and N952 billion for recurrent expenditure.
The governor stated that his administration is determined to ensure that the goals and objectives of the budget are maximally realised for the benefit of all residents of the state and in line with his development agenda.
He said the approved budget size is N21.7 billion higher than what was presented to the house of assembly due to additional provisions to enforce completion of ongoing projects.
