The Independent Broadcasting Association of Nigeria, BAN is seeking an audience with the National Broadcasting Commission to clear some areas on its supervisory roles.
This is sequel to the recent five million naira fine imposed on Channels Television over Ahmed Datti interview
In a letter jointly signed by IBAN chairman, Guy Murray Bruce and its General Secretary, Charles Daniels, IBAN says it wants more information on how the NBC came up with the fine against one of its members.
The letter says there seems to be no clear procedure on reprimand or course of any action.
Furthermore, the statement reads, “It is our desire that sanction procedures are open, transparent and fair” .
