Kano govt to support 250 cooperative groups
The Kano State Government will mobilise and support 250 cooperative organisations around the state as part of an empowerment initiative.
Jamilu Kiru, the recently appointed Special Adviser to Governor Abba Kabiru Yusuf on Cooperatives, informed reporters of this on Sunday.
He described how numerous cooperative societies for various industries, such as agriculture, business, handicrafts, artisans, and transportation, would be chosen, empowered, and trained across the state.
He claims that the empowerment model fits with the way that the world’s economic activities are currently becoming digitalized.
