Lesbianism Practice: Delta Court Sentences Two To 12 Years Imprisonment

The Agbor High Court of Delta State has sentenced the duo of Laureta Uwague and Linda Osifo to 12 years in prison for lesbianism, a practice that is against the state law.

The development followed their arrest on November 2nd 2023. Upon police investigation and interrogation Osifo made it known to police that it was her first homosexual relationship while Uwague confessed that she had previously been in a relationship with one Uche Oghor-Collins, whom however, law enforcement agents confirmed to be at large.

Recall that the culprits were apprehended by some youths while having homosexual intercourse but the quick intervention of the police saved them from attack by the angry mob.

They had already been beaten and stripped naked when the police arrived and rescued them from the scene.

The suspected lesbians were, however arraigned in a law court and consequently sentenced to 12 years in prison.

A source, who narrated what happened to our correspondent, said: “The story of the two being lesbians are everywhere”.
