Muslims stage mega rally for Palestine in Lagos
Thousands of Muslims at the Gani Fawehinmi Freedom Park on Saturday, demonstrated against the Israeli military’s bombardment of Gaza and demanded that Nigeria’s government sever all diplomatic ties with Israel until a two-state solution was reached, among other demands.
The Muslim women and men were waving posters that read, ‘Free Palestine, free Gaza.’. ‘End Israel apartheid now!’, Nigerians unite for Palestine’, Nigerians call for justice for Palestine ‘Good people of America must stop Joe Biden’s collaboration with killers,’ among others.
- A few days after speaking at a global press conference where they fiercely denounced the bombing of infants and innocents in a hospital, the Conference of Islamic Organisations (CIO) organised Muslims across the state for the demonstration in support of Palestine.
