Remains of Slain Soldiers In Okuoma Set For Burial

SLAIN SOLDIERS: REMAINS OF TROOPS IN OKUOMA ATTACK TO BE BURIED TODAY

The internment of the 17 gallant men of the Nigerian army, who lost their lives during an attack in Delta state, is currently taking place at the National Military Cemetery, Abuja.

President, Bola Tinubu, President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, Speaker of the house of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, Governors of Delta, Bayelsa and Kano state, Heads of Security Agencies among other top government functionaries are expected to grace the ceremony.

No fewer than 17 military personnel were killed by angry youths during a communal clash over a land dispute in Bomadi and Okuoma communities in the state.

The personnel attached to the 181 Amphibious Battalion were reportedly responding to a distress call when they were ambushed and killed.
