Lagos Goes On Tour of Vegetable Farms
The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Cooperatives (MCIC), Mrs. Adetutu Oluremi Ososanya, FCA led at the weekend led members of Lagos State Technical Working Group (STWG) on African Continental Free Trade Agreement (AfCFTA) on a tour of Vegetable Farm Cluster.
The farms located at Araga; Alaro City and Lekki Free Zone Development Company at Epe and Ibeju Lekki Local Government axis on Wednesday, 6th September, 2023 are one of the key areas of agriculture the state is seriously tapping into.
Speaking on the purpose of the tour, Ososanya stated that it is part of the steps being taken to chart a roadmap for the State’s participation in AfCFTA as it cannot afford to be left behind.
According to her, one of the mandates of the STWG is to mobilise the grassroots and galvanise stakeholders towards having a common front on AfCFTA as the State Government, under the leadership of Mr. Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu is very much interested in opening the space for the people to benefit from AfCFTA.
