Consider ‘Social Protection Policy’ for vulnerable Nigerians- ActionAid
ActionAid Nigeria, AAN, on Tuesday, urged the federal and state governments on Tuesday to take social protection policies for vulnerable Nigerians into consideration as Nigeria observes the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty alongside the rest of the world.
According to AAN, if properly carried out, the policy will significantly lower poverty nationwide and increase the standard of living for poor Nigerians.
Speaking on the 2023 International Day for the Eradication of Poverty with the theme “Decent Work and Social Protection: Putting Dignity in Practice for All,” AAN’s Deputy Country Director Suwaiba Dankabo emphasised the importance of having a strong political will to eradicate poverty.
